I am currently an assistant professor of philosophy at the University of Central Florida. I have broad research interests in ancient philosophy. Previously, I taught at the University of Illinois and the University of Nebraska. I hold degrees in philosophy from the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Oxford, and the University of Michigan.

I was formerly an assistant editor at the Whitney Museum of American Art. My editorial experience was subsequently put to use at the Archiv für Geschichte der Philosophie, where I served as the assistant managing editor for North America.
